Bugs! Enjoyment of the back yard deck was being severely limited by hordes of nasty little biting insects, and the deck itself was reaching the end of it's lifespan. The homeowners wanted to replace the deck with a covered outdoor space free from bugs (and snakes!) where they could relax and entertain friends.
