Raising

The four main bents of the house and their connecting girts are in place in a matter of hours.

Pegging

As the oak pegs are pounded home to lock the frame together, the first snow of the season begins to fall.

Spline

Splines are useful pieces of joinery where timbers meet at the same height on all sides of a post.

Timber Forest

The repeating form of the timber bents makes an interesting view.

Raising Crew

After a day and a half with the crane, the frame is up.
